Blog Archive MBA News How Many MBAs Are in Forbes 30 Under 30
Blog Archive MBA News How Many MBAs Are in Forbes 30 Under 30 Forbes has published its second annual â30 Under 30â listing, profiling an impressive group of the yearâs brightest (and youngest) âdisruptors, innovators and entrepreneursâ across 15 categories, all of whom are âimpatient to change the world.â Although the profiles do not offer an exhaustive list of educational credentials, the list interestingly includes only six MBA mentions. Unsurprisingly, most fell into the finance categoryâ"but not by much. Only three of 30 in the financial category attended business school (or were identified by Forbes as having attended), including Ray Bradford, a Stanford GSB graduate and investment partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers; Tracy Britt, a Harvard Business School (HBS) MBA and financial assistant to Warren Buffett, chairman of Berkshire Hathaway; and David Shankman, a Wharton MBA and vice president of the Blackstone Group. The energy sector came in a close second, as it included two professionalsâ"Allison Hannon, a graduate of Chicago Booth and cofounder of Root3 Technologies, and Rick Thielke, a Stanford MBA and portfolio manager at SandRidge Capital. Marketing and advertising also had an MBA mention: Hayley Barna, who attended HBS and cofounded the retail startup Birchbox, made the list. Share ThisTweet News
